He has been involved with St John Ambulance in Berkshire since 1983, a Governor at Kennet School since 1986 and has served on the Management Committee of Kennet Leisure Centre since its inception. Emma Samuel (Thatcham Vision Project Manager)
As the Project Manager of Thatcham Vision, Emma works part time at the Council Offices in Brownsfield Road managing and implementing the day to day activities. She has lived just off the High Street in the centre of Thatcham for more than seven years and is enjoying being able to make a difference to our town, which is also an important consideration for her two young children. Her experience is varied and includes marketing communications management and environmental consultancy. On days when she is not working, you will probably find her shopping, in the garden or at the allotment, battling the weeds and rushing about with a watering can! Emma has an open door at the Council (Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays) and welcomes thoughts, comments, ideas, questions as well as requests and offers of support!
Stephanie Steevenson
Stephanie Steevenson is a History graduate and taught History in a mainstream Secondary school for 11 years. She then transferred to the school where she now teaches, a Special School in Newbury.
Her interest in family history came about by chance but she has been hooked ever since, finding it to be the most engaging of hobbies. It is extremely satisfying to be a successful detective and she has documented both her own and others family trees.
Stephanie has been a Thatcham Town Councillor since 2003 and through being a councillor has become a Trustee of the Old Bluecoat School and Chair of the Management committee of the Parish Hall, both in Thatcham. She has lived here since 1989.
Sue Everett
Sue Everett has lived in Thatcham since 1985 and helped to write the Vision action plan issued in 2007. She is an environmental consultant and provides technical support to Thatcham Town Council on matters relating to the environment and flooding. She also works with local countryside agencies and farmers, providing advice on countryside restoration and wild flower meadows.
David Brazier

Dr Nick Young
Nick has been involved with Thatcham Vision since it's conception, although has only sat on the Steering Group since early 2009. Nick brings his expertise as a local historian and IT expert to the Steering Group, and as such has overseen the development of the thatchamonline.net website and the "Thatcham: an historic town in a changing world" publication, which was initiated by the late Peter Allen.
Nick has previously worked as a lecturer in a further and higher education college and currently runs his own business specialising in IT consultancy, IT training and website development. In his spare time he is the chairman of Thatcham Historical Society and is a keen photographer.
