Circle Dance
Circle Dance is traditional dancing with music from all over the world. No partner is needed. Dances can be joyful and uplifting or quiet and calm. They are done around a focal point in the centre to reflect the changing seasons.
It was brought to the UK in the 1970 and has been used to help older people, people with dementia old and young to regain their balance, co-ordination foster a community atmosphere and a sense of well-being. They are taught either standing or seated and singing is encouraged. Usually held in church halls, community Centers and social spaces.
Would you group or activity be interested in Circle Dance? I usually have 8 minimum dancers and 20 max. Between dancers 8-20 I have an assistant. I ask for £5 per person for one hour's dancing. I travel up to one hour from Thatcham where I am based.
